Role Overview
Roots is hiring a Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and build lasting customer relationships.
The role reports to the Store Manager and supports store sales, operations, merchandising, and customer loyalty.
Candidate Requirements
- Retail experience, preferably in apparel, is preferred.
- Customer relationship-building ability is required.
- Experience with store standards, cash handling, and merchandise presentation is required.
- Excellent presentation skills in a retail environment are required.
- The role requires customer awareness, good judgment, initiative, and a friendly, optimistic approach.
Store Responsibilities
- Maintain a customer-first attitude and build customer loyalty.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and positively at store level.
- Perform POS transactions and merchandising tasks such as shipment receiving, replenishment, markdowns, and fitting-room upkeep.
- Maintain product presentation, visual displays, store housekeeping, and store maintenance.
- Follow loss-prevention policies and contribute to team and store success.
- Keep current on product and service updates.
