Position Overview
Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking customers, assessing their needs, and helping them find solutions for their projects.
Build product and department knowledge while focusing on customer service and solving customer needs.
Customer Satisfaction
- Follow the GET model by greeting, engaging, and thanking customers.
- Seek customers throughout the store, assess their projects, and escort them to appropriate merchandise.
- Promote Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, and Pro Services.
Sales and Product Knowledge
- Discuss good, better, and best options and suggest related items or services outside the department.
- Educate customers about the whole project and use the empowerment program when necessary.
- Maintain product knowledge in the assigned and adjacent departments.
- Complete daily stock maintenance so products are signed, displayed, and clean.
Safety and Working Conditions
- Follow all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Perform bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving of items.
