About the Position
Reports to the Retail Supervisor and provides customer service to clients in the building materials and construction industries.
Supports customers in-store by answering inquiries, explaining products, and directing them to merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive in-store sales by introducing customers to promotions, sales, and flyer events.
- Suggest add-on products that benefit customers and encourage loyalty.
- Assist with restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean sales floor.
- Meet sales targets and goals established by the store manager.
Relevant Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience within the trades, construction, or building materials industries.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills are expected.
- Previous retail or customer service experience in a similar industry is preferred.
Working Conditions
- The role requires the ability to consult, educate, and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Lifting or moving up to 25 pounds may be required.
- The role requires standing or walking for extended periods.
- Flexible hours, including weekends, and overtime may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Benefits include dental care, vision care, on-site parking, and a store discount.
