Museum Studio is hiring a customer-focused Sales Associate for its boutique at the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi.
The role combines customer service, retail sales, merchandising, store operations, and support for museum events and promotions.
Customer service and sales
- Welcome and assist museum visitors and customers professionally.
- Explain merchandise such as books, gifts, artwork, souvenirs, and special collections.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences.
- Contribute to team sales targets and boutique revenue.
- Handle enquiries, exchanges, returns, and complaints.
Store operations
- Operate the Lightspeed point-of-sale system accurately.
- Process cash, foreign currency, card, and other approved payment transactions.
- Maintain product knowledge and monitor new products, exhibitions, and promotions.
- Monitor stock and report shortages, damage, or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Merchandising and events
- Display, price, label, and replenish merchandise.
- Assist with deliveries, unpacking, stock transfers, and inventory counts.
- Keep sales, display, and checkout areas clean and organized.
- Support visual merchandising and seasonal or exhibition-related displays.
- Assist with special events, VIP visits, exhibition openings, and promotions.
- Represent the museum and boutique brand professionally.
Candidate profile
- A dynamic, organized, and outgoing personality is suited to the fast-paced retail environment.
- Candidates should be based in Abu Dhabi.
- Retail, tourism, or museum experience is a plus but is not required.
- Genuine curiosity about natural history, science, or conservation is expected.
- Good English is required; Arabic and additional languages are strong assets.
- The role suits someone interested in a long-term UAE cultural and tourism career.
