Role Overview
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transportation o f Containers, LTL, or FTL in North America to establish lasting relationship s and growing B2B accounts .
• Have a strong background and understanding of transportation management, negotiation, and providing quality transportation solutions for the customer .
• Understand the current market costs to negotiate rates with customers and carriers, maximizing profit margins.
• Thorough understanding of freight brokerage processes for a 3PL to provide solutions for customers by utilizing partner carriers to implement & oversee loads, ensuring meet or exceed the customers expectation.
• Maintain hyper awareness of client needs and the operational impact of scheduling all inbound and outbound movements, including resolv ing operational conflicts between customers, carriers, shippers, and receivers.
• Settle disputes with carriers when there are discrepancies in resolving shipment issues.
• Continually research and negotiate with carriers to increase partner carrier base.
• Accept/reject freight from customers, based on current capacity and rates.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, shipment operators, steamship lines and agents to ensure service satisfaction.
• Consistently hit monthly goals, expectation, and KPIs.
