The Opportunity
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Safety Training Advisor is a site-based role on the AVMA Shaft Project at Appin, combining hands-on safety advice and field presence with responsibility for the site safety training and competency program.
The role is an even split between the two.
You will spend your time in the field alongside the crews providing safety advice, completing inspections and supporting incident investigation, and in the training room and shaft delivering and assessing the competencies that keep people safe.
This position is ideally suited to an underground or shaft mining safety training professional who is equally comfortable holding a safety conversation in the shaft and conducting a competency assessment under the same engagement.
