Safety Technician

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Report and document safety incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Provide safety training and awareness sessions to employees.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain safety equipment and ensure proper use and maintenance.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.

Required Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Relevant practical training in workplace safety and basic safety knowledge.
• Experience monitoring high-risk activities such as electrical work, hot work, work at heights, mechanical maintenance, and lifting operations.
• Experience ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Proficiency with safety management software and tools.
• NEBOSH and OSHA certifications are required.
• Saudi Council of Engineers accreditation as a Technician is required.
• Professional proficiency in Arabic and English.

Preferred Experience

• Permit to Work monitoring experience is a plus.
• Experience assisting with risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis is a plus.
• Experience working with maintenance teams and monitoring employee and contractor compliance is a plus.
