Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures on roads and infrastructure projects
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards
- Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and subcontractors
- Monitor lifting operations, excavation works, traffic management, and work permits
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct emergency drills
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and statutory documentation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities regarding safety compliance
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate workplace hazards
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as a Safety Officer in Roads & Infrastructure projects
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory
- UAE approved Safety Officer certification (if applicable) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, RTA, and UAE HSE regulations
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Immediate joiners are preferred
