Responsibilities
- Oversee daily health and safety compliance on project sites
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures and local regulations
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend preventive and corrective actions
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks
- Support emergency preparedness
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain safety documentation and coordinate with security personnel where required
- Participate in regular review meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, standards, and local regulations
- Experience in Accident Investigation and incident reporting, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Understanding of Security practices related to construction or infrastructure projects
- Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training, briefings, and toolbox talks to diverse site teams
- Relevant diploma or degree in safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable
- Experience working on engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reporting, documentation, and use of basic office software

Role Description
- The Safety Officer is a full time, hybrid role based in Doha, Qatar, with a combination of on site and work from home tasks.
- Oversee daily health and safety compliance on project sites, conduct inspections and risk assessments, and monitor adherence to safety procedures and local regulations.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
