Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with a strong background in the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, minimizing workplace risks, and promoting a culture of safety across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health & safety policies and procedures on construction sites
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and company standards
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at all times
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers on safety matters
- Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with safety requirements
Requirements
- **Bachelor’s degree or Diploma** in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- **Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects (UAE experience preferred)**
- Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and standards
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Villas or large-scale construction projects
- First Aid and Fire Safety certification
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
- Pay: Up to AED5,500.00 per month
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience
- Safety Officer in UAE: 4 years (Required)
