Role Overview
A recruitment consultancy is hiring a Safety Officer on behalf of a client in Qatar's oil and gas sector.
The role supports HSE operations across project sites and requires relevant SHE/HSE experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures across project sites.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy and client safety standards.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor permit-to-work and confined space activities.
- Maintain HSE documentation and statutory records.
- Coordinate emergency response and safety drills.
Required Skills
- NEBOSH International General Certificate is mandatory.
- HSE compliance, risk assessment, and incident investigation are required.
- Oil and gas safety experience in LNG or EPC construction projects is required.
Experience and Education
- Candidates must have 5–8 years of relevant SHE/HSE experience in oil and gas, LNG, or large-scale EPC construction projects.
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Safety, Health and Environment, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is required.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Qatar Energy project experience is preferred.
LNG project exposure is preferred.
Strong reporting and documentation skills are preferred.
