Role Description
- The Safety Manager is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, responsible for leading and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental practices across construction sites and facilities.
- The role includes developing, implementing, and updating safety policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations, industry standards, and company requirements.
- The Safety Manager conducts regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits, and ensures corrective actions are identified, documented, and followed through.
- The role involves planning and delivering safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for staff and subcontractors.
- The Safety Manager also leads accident and incident investigations, prepares reports, tracks safety performance metrics, and collaborates with project managers and site engineers.
Qualifications
- Strong Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge, including familiarity with UAE regulations and construction industry standards.
- Proven Safety Training and industrial safety skills, including designing and delivering training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
- Competency in site safety inspections, risk assessments, hazard identification, and development of practical mitigation measures.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field, along with certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the construction sector, preferably with large scale or high rise projects.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
