SAFETY /ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Health, Safety, and Environmental Impact Assessment (HSEIA) reports.
• Support and participate in Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) development and risk analysis studies.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Support incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist project teams in implementing safe work practices and environmental controls.
• Prepare HSE documentation, reports, procedures, and presentations.
• Participate in project design reviews and provide HSE input during FEED and EPC phases.
• Promote HSE awareness and safety culture across project teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental, Technical, Scientific, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Minimum 2 years of GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience in preparing HSEIA reports and environmental studies.
• Fully conversant in QRA development and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong understanding of international HSE standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of HSE management systems and environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant HSE software/tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certifications are an advantage.
• Experience supporting FEED and EPC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
