Safety Engineer / Officer

Role overview

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or three-year diploma.
• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE qualification.
• Three to five years of experience in health, safety, and environment roles.
• Experience in road maintenance projects is required.
• A UAE driving license is required.

Knowledge and skills

• Strong knowledge of traffic diversion management and related safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessments, and safety management systems.
• Ability to conduct safety audits and incident investigations.
• Ability to deliver HSE training sessions.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to night shift schedules.

Compensation

• Pay starts from AED 5,000 per month.

Workplace and schedule

• The work location is in person.
• The role may require night shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage traffic diversion activities and related safety procedures for road maintenance projects.
• Apply HSE regulations, risk assessments, and safety management systems.
• Conduct safety audits and incident investigations.
• Deliver HSE training sessions.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams and support scheduled night shift work.
