Role Overview
Parsons is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental requirements across assigned project areas.
The role works under the direction of the HSE Manager and Senior HSE Coordinators and coordinates with project stakeholders.
Site Safety Responsibilities
- Support the project HSE plan, procedures, and site safety requirements.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections and safety walks.
- Identify hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential risks.
- Monitor risk assessments, JSAs or JHAs, method statements, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, excavation, lifting, hot work, confined spaces, electrical activities, and equipment operations.
- Monitor PPE use, housekeeping, access, egress, barricading, warning signs, lighting, pedestrian routes, and traffic controls.
- Support airport or airside safety requirements where applicable.
Training and Emergency Support
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions, emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and safety campaigns.
- Monitor worker competency and required HSE training records.
- Verify safety equipment and emergency facilities are available and properly used.
