Thomas Foods International (TFI) is committed to nurturing the next generation of Australian agricultural leaders through our Rural Pathways Program. This 12-month initiative is designed for recent school leavers, eager to start their careers with a leading Australian agricultural company. Participants will gain hands-on experience at one of our TFI Rural properties or the Southern Cross Feedlot, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the agricultural industry.
Rural Program TFI Rural is a multi-site aggregation totalling an area in excess of 22,000 hectares and spread across the upper and lower southeast of South Australia. Utilising modern farming practices, TFI Rural is diverse in its operation of prime lamb production, cattle breeding and trading, centre pivot irrigation and fodder production. Participants will gain experience in all areas including general farm duties and work health and safety requirements.
Southern Cross Feedlot (SCF) Program SCF is an industry leading and award-winning feedlot, located in Tintinara, South Australia. SCF represents a forward-thinking and modern feedlot, embracing technology, research and development and best-practice animal welfare. With a current capacity of 27,000 standard cattle units and a significant expansion underway to 38,000 SCU, our feedlot is a key partner of the TFI Murray Bridge Processing Plant. Successful applicants will engage with livestock, feedmill, administration, maintenance and machinery operation.

Duration: 12-month, fixed term position, starting early 2027
