About the Role
Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer for a permanent project-based role in Doha. The engineer will support rotating equipment engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle in EPC, industrial, energy, or process industry projects.

Responsibilities
- Execute rotating equipment engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Ensure effective coordination across project interfaces and maintain accurate information flow
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing and sharing project lessons learned
- Support implementation of company engineering procedures, standards, and KPI monitoring
- Review client technical specifications and tender documentation
- Prepare rotating equipment technical requisitions and inquiry documentation
- Evaluate vendor quotations and perform technical bid assessments
- Prepare material take offs to support cost estimation
- Assist in equipment cost evaluations and engineering man hour estimates
- Support proposal development activities related to rotating equipment packages
- Review contractual technical requirements and project documentation
- Coordinate engineering interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering within EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or process industry projects
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Role
- Rotating Equipment Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rotating equipment engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Ensure effective coordination across project interfaces and maintain accurate information flow between disciplines and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing and sharing project lessons learned and best practices.
- Support implementation of company engineering procedures, standards, and KPI monitoring processes.
General Duties
- The Mechanical Engineer shall perform all assigned activities within their area of responsibility while ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities by Project Phase
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and project teams.
- Contribute technical expertise to engineering studies and client engagements as required.
- Provide technical input and engineering support during feasibility and concept development phases.
- Review client technical specifications and tender documentation.
- Prepare rotating equipment technical requisitions and inquiry documentation.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and perform technical bid assessments.
- Prepare material take offs to support cost estimation activities.
- Assist in equipment cost evaluations and engineering man hour estimates.
- Support proposal development activities related to rotating equipment packages.
- Review contractual technical requirements and project documentation.
- Coordinate engineering interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders.
- Develop technical requisitions, specifications, and equipment datasheets.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment engineering within EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or process industry projects.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with engineering software and document management systems is advantageous.
