Role Overview
The room attendant creates a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
The role supports both housekeeping and laundry operations while following Sunrise quality service standards.
Duties
- Perform housekeeping in resident suites, common areas, and offices.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, showers, and glass surfaces.
- Collect trash and transport clean and soiled linens appropriately.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute community laundry.
- Inspect linens for wear and follow procedures for damaged items.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in safe, orderly condition.
- Assist with resident needs, communicate updates to supervisors, and participate in team meetings and engagement initiatives.
Required Practices
- Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms.
