Roadway Engineer responsibilities include
- Support project engineering efforts on a variety of transportation, highway and local street design projects.
- Assist with design documentation, technical reports, quantity calculations, and plan preparation for review and quality control.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to deliver work that meets project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- Review and check portions of project work under the guidance of experienced engineering staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including involvement in engineering and transportation-related professional organizations.
We are considering candidates for our Roadway Engineer position who possess the following minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Course work or Internship/Co-op experience related to transportation engineering, highway design, roadway design, or local street design.
- Familiarity with WisDOT design standards is a plus.
- EIT certification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with civil transportation design software such as Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer is highly preferred.
- A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
