Role Description

  • The Road Safety Coordinator is a full time, on site role based in the United Arab Emirates, responsible for promoting and enforcing road safety standards across Serh Group’s logistics and transportation operations.
  • This role includes developing and implementing road safety policies and procedures, conducting regular route and site risk assessments, and monitoring compliance with local regulations and internal safety guidelines.
  • The Road Safety Coordinator will organize driver training and awareness programs, review incident and near miss reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • The role also involves collaborating with operations, fleet management, and HSE teams to collect data, prepare safety performance reports, and drive continuous improvement in road safety practices.
  • The Road Safety Coordinator will engage directly with drivers, supervisors, and management to foster a safety first culture and support safe, efficient transport activities for all projects.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in road safety management, traffic safety regulations, and risk assessment for transportation operations.
  • Experience with fleet safety oversight, driver performance monitoring, and route planning in logistics or industrial environments.
  • Strong skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and development of corrective action plans.
  • Ability to design and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for diverse workforce groups.
  • Knowledge of UAE road laws, HSE standards, and relevant regulatory requirements for commercial transport.
  • Proficient in using spreadsheets, reporting tools, and basic data analysis to track and present safety metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across operations, HSE, and management teams.
  • Proven organizational and time management abilities, including prioritizing tasks in a fast paced project environment.
  • Previous experience in logistics, oil and gas, industrial operations, or large scale infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant certification or training in road safety, HSE, or transport management; a diploma or degree in a related field is an advantage.
