We are seeking a talented and compassionate RN Unit Manager to join our team at Maplewood Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing unit, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care planning
- Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and report on patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and share best practices with the team
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the nursing staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with prior management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the nursing staff
- Excellent clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
