Role Description

  • The Risk Officer role at MedLink VA is a full time hybrid position based in Dubai, with flexibility for partial work from home.
  • The Risk Officer will identify, assess, and monitor risks across the organization, with a focus on market risk, operational risk, and enterprise wide risk exposures.
  • Daily responsibilities include analyzing data and trends, preparing risk reports and dashboards, and supporting the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant financial and healthcare regulations, collaborating with finance and operations teams, and recommending mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
  • The Risk Officer will also participate in risk reviews, support internal audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of risk controls and governance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Market Risk and Finance skills to evaluate financial exposures and support risk based decision making.
  • Candidates should possess Enterprise Risk Management skills to design, implement, and maintain risk frameworks across the organization.
  • Candidates should possess Regulatory Compliance skills to ensure adherence to applicable local and international regulations and internal policies.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and produce clear risk insights and reports.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CRM) are an advantage.
  • Experience in risk management within healthcare, technology, or financial services is preferred, with familiarity in hybrid and remote work environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain risk issues to non technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
