About the Role
Al Farah Contracting & Services is hiring a Rigger/Banksman for heavy lift and manual rigging in the Oil and Gas industry. Candidates need 8+ years of lifting experience, a valid QSGTL recognized certificate, and the ability to inspect lifting gear.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of COMPANY / QSGTL policies and procedures related to Lifting and Rigging
- Inspect slings, wire ropes, hooks and lifting gears for damages and report defects
- Give communication signals required within lifting & hoisting (Radio / Hand etc)
- Examine loads, estimate size and weight
- Carry out any additional tasks as directed by COMPANY
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years experience in Lifting & Hoisting, Manual Rigging
- 3.5 years previous Heavy Lift & Manual Rigging experience in Oil and Gas
- Must hold a current QSGTL recognized Rigging / Lifting & Banksman Certificate
- Capable of inspecting slings, wire ropes, hooks and lifting gears
- Knowledge of Hazards / Risks & Safety Precautions
- Capable of giving communication signals (Radio / Hand etc)
- Must be able to examine loads, estimate size and weight

Overview
- RIGGER / BANKSMAN position at Al Farah Contracting & Services.
Requirements
- Good Team Player.
- Ensure compliance of COMPANY / QSGTL policies and procedures related to Lifting and Rigging.
- 3.5 years previous Heavy Lift & Manual Rigging experience in the position working in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Lifting & Hoisting, Manual Rigging, using ALL types of Lifting Equipment & Lifting Gears.
- Capable of inspecting the slings, wire ropes, hooks and lifting gears for damages, and how to report such findings if defects are found.
- Must hold a current QSGTL recognized Rigging / Lifting & Banksman Certificate from a recognized training provider.
- Knowledge of Hazards / Risks & Safety Precautions.
- Capable of giving communication signals require within lifting & Hoisting. (Radio / Hand etc).
- Must be able to examine the loads, estimate the size and weight.

Additional Tasks
- Rigging / Banksman will also be expected to carry out any additional tasks as directed by COMPANY as and when required.
