Role overview
The RF Planning and Design Engineer designs and optimizes wireless communication networks for coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
The role supports mobility and fixed wireless access networks and contributes to reliable delivery of voice and data services.
Responsibilities
- Plan RF networks, conduct link budgets, select sites, optimize radio parameters, and perform frequency and interference planning.
- Conduct propagation modeling, antenna system design, beamforming analysis, capacity planning, performance monitoring, field surveys, and drive tests.
- Prepare RF design reports, coverage maps, parameter configurations, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with network engineering, operations, vendors, and project stakeholders on RFPs, pre-bid queries, technical specifications, and HLD/LLD validation.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
