Responsibilities
- Lead a team of RF/DL engineers and serve as government stakeholder interface
- Design and implement tactical routing, switching, and transport solutions
- Integrate tactical radios and SATCOM terminals into enterprise network architectures
- Perform Tier 2/Tier 3 troubleshooting for network outages in operational environments
- Support integration of data link messaging such as J Series, K Series, VMF messages
- Assess RF and data link systems on aircraft and ground platforms
- Analyze spectrum allocation and produce actionable reports
Requirements
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; or 13 years with HS diploma
- U.S. citizen with current DoD Secret security clearance, eligible for TS/SCI
- Deep understanding of RF, SATCOM, MUOS, IW, SHF, TSM, MANET waveforms, and tactical data link systems (e.g., Link 16, Link 22, SINCGARS, SATCOM)
- Proficient in RF fundamentals including antenna gain modeling, link budget considerations
- Familiarity with DoD communication system acquisition processes and standards (e.g., MIL STD 6016, MIL STD 188)
- Familiarity with IP networking and subnetting, hands on experience configuring ports and protocols
- Experience applying RF propagation tools such as SPEED and CloudRF

- Responsible for design, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of secure communications networks.
- Supports Air Force Special Operations Command.

- Lead a team of RF/DL engineers and serve as government stakeholder interface.
