Position Overview
The Retail Stocking Team Supervisor is part of Burlington's Back of House and Receiving team.
The supervisor is a member of the store leadership team and leads the Back of House area in partnership with Store Management.
The role is positioned as a pathway toward broader management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead merchandise progression from delivery receiving through processing and movement to the sales floor.
- Maintain back-of-house cleanliness, setup, and organization.
- Reinforce asset protection and safety strategies.
- Direct associates, assign workload, and drive productivity and merchandise protection results.
- Coach associates, provide recognition, and support a collaborative team culture.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Participate in weekly workload planning meetings.
- Coordinate breaks and monitor schedule adherence.
- Drive community relations participation through company programs and partnerships.
Requirements
- At least one year of supervisory experience in an off-price, big-box, or specialty retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
- Availability for a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift or handle store merchandise weighing 40 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Compensation
- Base pay is $19.50 to $21.50 per hour.
