Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational interface with the Retail Franchise partner, managing the day to day franchise relationship
- Monitor and enforce the Contractual Milestone & Accountability Framework
- Conduct monthly review of franchise sales reports, GMV, and commission data; prepare Quarterly Business Review packs
- Enforce brand standards across all franchise operated stores
- Manage the end to end lifecycle of all licensing agreements from partner identification to royalty collection and compliance monitoring
- Review all incoming licensing proposals against the approved checklist
- Track royalty income, minimum guarantee payments, and overall deal performance
- Maintain a live centralized register of all franchise and licensing agreements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field
- 5+ years in commercial partnerships, licensing, retail management, or franchise operations
- Arabic and English (professional working proficiency)
- Commercial acumen and contract management skills
- Brand governance and IP protection knowledge

Job Purpose
- The Retail Franchise & Licensing Manager is responsible for managing and maximising Al Ittihad’s commercial IP revenue across two equally weighted streams: the retail franchise partnership and the Club’s licensing programme.
Key Activities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary operational interface with the Retail Franchise partner.
- Monitor and enforce the Contractual Milestone & Accountability Framework.
- Conduct monthly review of franchise sales reports, GMV, and commission data; prepare Quarterly Business Review packs.
- Enforce brand standards across all franchise operated stores.
- Coordinate ICC location approval for all new store openings.
- Manage the store takeover and expansion process.
- Monitor franchise partner’s marketing commitments.
- Oversee the Retail Franchise & Kit Partner Senior Specialist.
- Escalate performance shortfalls through the structured consequence mechanism.
- Maintain 24/7 ICC data access rights.
- Manage the end to end lifecycle of all licensing agreements.
- Apply and enforce the approved Licensing Framework.
Job Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in commercial partnerships, licensing, retail management, or franchise operations.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in sports industry, FMCG licensing, or retail franchise environments.
- Exposure to GCC or MENA commercial markets.
- Minimum: Arabic and English (professional working proficiency).
- Preferred: Bilingual, native Arabic, fluent English.
- Preferred: Licensing International certification or equivalent.
