Retail Assistant Manager- Ringwood

In this casual role, you’ll work as a part of our Retail team in our brand new Ringwood op shop to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. Whether it’s supporting the management of the daily operations of the Save the Children Australia Ringwood op shop or building a co-operate team of volunteers, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.

You’ll be working in a community store surrounded by other fashion retailers, and just around the corner from some of the best coffee shops in Melbourne - did someone say coffee?

You will make a difference by:

· Ensure store budgets are met by achieving targets.

· Provide and maintain high levels of customer service in line with Save the Children customer service standards.

· Develop, drive and support local and national marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

· Ensure Save the Children merchandise and information is readily available to customers.

· Overseeing the store on the Store manager’s Days off, and late night shopping, and Christmas trading.

· Manager customer complaints and feedback

Your deep expertise in retail store management is invaluable. Bringing your best every day, means having:

· Experience working in a retail customer service environment

· Experience in managing a team in a retail environment

· Outstanding organisation skills with strong time management ability

· Ability to present well and provide a high level of customer service

· Ability to perform routine manual labour tasks including moving boxes of stock and displays

· Ability to work weekends, evenings and after hours shifts as well as during standard weekdays.
