Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Receive payments by cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payment methods
- Issue receipts and provide the correct change
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and billing concerns courteously
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate order delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and front area
- Promote restaurant specials, offers, and menu items when appropriate
- Follow company policies, food safety standards, and cash handling procedures
- Prepare daily sales reports and report any cash discrepancies to management
- Assist with reservations, take away orders, and delivery orders when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous cashier or restaurant experience is an advantage
- Basic mathematics and computer skills
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Honest, reliable, and detail oriented
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
