Resident Engineer

Role Overview

Site Supervision

• Lead and manage the site supervision team for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the Client, Contractor, and Consultant team on site.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control throughout project execution.

Project Controls and Coordination

• Review contractor method statements, material approvals, work programmes, and other submissions and provide recommendations.
• Monitor progress and identify risks, delays, and construction challenges.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review, validate, and certify progress reports and payment applications.

Leadership and Reporting

• Chair site meetings and prepare project status reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to site supervision personnel.
• Support delivery of transportation corridors, roads, highways, utility networks, drainage, and related infrastructure works.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on major infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory experience within Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with engineering consultancy organizations in a site supervision environment.
• Experience supervising transportation, highways, roads, utilities, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure projects.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Strong understanding of construction supervision procedures, contract administration, and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and infrastructure delivery frameworks.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Work Environment

• The role is site-based and focused on supervising construction activities for infrastructure projects.
