Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer - Architect with a strong consultancy background and extensive onsite experience within the GCC. The role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards throughout all construction
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all site activities for building projects.
- Act as the main point of coordination between the client, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are executed as per design intent and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control and site safety requirements related to architectural works.
- Identify, report, and resolve design, coordination, and site issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with all disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to site-based architectural teams.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, site instructions, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in the GCC.
- Strong experience working with consultancy firms.
- Proven track record supervising large-scale building projects.
- Extensive onsite experience with strong attention to detail and design coordination skills.
- Solid knowledge of local authority requirements, building codes, and architectural standards.
- Professional registration or chartership is an advantage.
