Role Overview
The Residence Worker provides care for the individuals in the group home and participates as part of the team responsible for implementing all aspects of the residents’ program, including the organization’s policies, procedures and philosophy.
On both an individual and group basis, the Residence Worker supports the quality of life for residents by ensuring that their physical, social, educational and health needs are met.

Job Summary
The Residence Worker provides care for the individuals in the group home and participates as part of the team responsible for implementing all aspects of the residents’ program, including the organization’s policies, procedures and philosophy.
On both an individual and group basis, the Residence Worker supports the quality of life for residents by ensuring that their physical, social, educational and health needs are met.
Education, Training and Experience
- Community Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
- Three month’s experience delivering similar services
- Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities in a group home setting
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Food Safe Certificate
- Class 5 driver’s license (Class 4 preferred) and own vehicle
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of theory, values and practices in community living including support systems
