Position Summary

Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.

Identify guest reservation needs, determine room types, and verify availability and rates.

Explain reservation policies, accommodate special requests, answer property questions, and follow guest-concern escalation procedures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Use sales techniques to maximize revenue and input and access data in the reservation system.
  • Apply correct codes and rates for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations.
  • Follow company policies, protect confidential information and assets, and protect guest and coworker privacy and security.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and respond to concerns professionally.
  • Maintain professional communication, telephone etiquette, teamwork, quality standards, and a clean personal appearance.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience is required.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is required.
