Research Program Coordinator

This position is to serve as Research Staff for The Schmitz Lab and will lead many of the operational aspects required of multiple research studies. This staff person will work with clinicians and staff to identify patients, approach patients, obtain informed consent, schedule study-related appointments, collect and coordinate study data, troubleshoot issues that occur before, during and after patient visits, and ensure that all case report forms are completed thoroughly. This position will work with several senior lab staff on several trials.

Lead data collection procedures.

Contact participants to schedule and collect data per protocol.

Use all case report forms as designed by the protocol, document all activities per good clinical research guidelines.

Ensure protocol adherence to the best of ability.

Ensure the safety of research and participant information.

Comply with federal, state, and sponsor policies, as well as Institutional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines.

Ensure data collection documentation is completed.

Perform data entry into appropriate databases and organizing source documentation appropriately, as needed.

Gather data for the Project Manager regarding project scheduling/timelines, coordinating meetings, preparing preliminary data, researching references, and formatting accuracy according to funding agency specifications.

Additionally, assist project manager with answering any queries that are issued by the sponsor, or requested by a team member for their study.

Analyze and recommend improvements to policy and procedures.
