- Synthesize evidence to identify how and why models work and assess strength of evidence
- Manage the cost effectiveness model and update as new evidence emerges
- Help draft the decision memo with a clear recommendation
Requirements
- 6+ years in research, evaluation, philanthropy, or consulting
- Experience in evidence review and synthesis in low and middle income contexts
- Familiarity with cost effectiveness analysis (BOTEC or CEA) or GiveWell style approaches
- Self directed and comfortable with ambiguity

About Prevail Fund
- Prevail is a new foundation that sets social change goals, raises pooled funds, and makes grants to implementers.
- Provides patient capital and on the ground support to help organizations scale.
Core Components
- Help frame the comparison and define impact metrics.
- Review evidence for ~20 organizations.
- Synthesize evidence to identify what works and why.
- Manage the cost effectiveness model.
- Help draft the decision memo.
Who We're Looking For
- 6+ years in research, evaluation, philanthropy, or consulting.
- Experienced in evidence review and synthesis in low and middle income contexts.
- Self directed, fast, honest about uncertainty.
- Familiarity with cost effectiveness analysis is a strong plus.
- Domain knowledge in livelihoods or poverty programming is a plus.
Consultant Contract Details
- Short term consultancy over roughly three months.
- Full time preferred, part time considered.
- Competitive day rate, commensurate with experience.
- Remote, with candidates ideally within 2/+4 hours of Central Africa Time.
- Up to 20% travel, expenses covered.
