Role Description

  • The Research Assistant / Research Analyst is responsible for supporting research initiatives by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights that support strategic planning, business decisions, and organizational objectives.
  • This role conducts systematic research, prepares analytical reports, and ensures the accuracy and reliability of research findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and gathering data from various sources such as industry reports, academic publications, financial statements, surveys, databases, public records, and internal systems.
  • Validating, organizing, and managing research data while ensuring completeness, consistency, and data integrity throughout the research process.
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, risks, and key insights relevant to research objectives.
  • Preparing research reports, literature reviews, executive summaries, presentations, dashboards, and analytical documentation that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams, researchers, business units, and management to define research objectives, develop methodologies, support project execution, and deliver evidence based recommendations.
  • Contributing to survey design, data collection processes, competitor analysis, market research, benchmarking, and performance evaluations where applicable.
  • Continuously monitoring industry developments, market trends, economic conditions, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to ensure research outputs remain current, accurate, and relevant.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of research methodologies, reporting standards, and data management processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of research activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of research methodologies, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data collection techniques, statistical concepts, business analysis, and information management.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, data analysis tools, presentation software, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical software, survey platforms, database management systems, and data visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify trends, validate findings, and develop evidence based recommendations.
  • Knowledge of literature review techniques, survey design, market research, competitor analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, data validation, and research documentation best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional research reports, executive summaries, presentations, and technical documentation for both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple research projects while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and working effectively in a collaborative and fast paced environment.
