Overview
Carnegie Mellon University seeks a Research Assistant to develop indoor context-aware systems. The role involves prototyping wearable multi-sensor devices and creating multi-modal datasets for indoor trajectory prediction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing context-aware solutions using multi-modal deep learning techniques
- Contribute to creating a comprehensive multi-modal dataset for indoor trajectory prediction, including data collection and annotation
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to meet project objectives
- Assist in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of research findings
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line usage
- Experience with sensor integration, data collection, and analysis
