The Medical Data Analyst, Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting Global Medical Affairs by serving as a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor in the generation of data-driven insights that inform scientific engagement, strategic decision-making, and patient-focused strategies. This role is a key pillar of the Medical Data and Analytics (MDnA) team, requiring a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to influence cross-functional stakeholders and elevate the impact of medical insights globally.
In this role, you will lead the design and execution of advanced analytical solutions that extract meaningful insights from complex, diverse datasets, translating both structured and unstructured data into actionable intelligence that informs medical strategy and improves patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical solutions that deliver actionable insights across Global Medical Affairs.
Manage and mentor a team of analysts and visualization experts, fostering skill development, collaboration, and innovation.
Conduct and oversee data analysis of structured and unstructured sources, including HCP sentiment, scientific engagement, publications, and real-world data.
Translate complex analytics into clear, data-driven recommendations that inform MSL strategies and enhance patient outcomes.
Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
Deliver ad hoc analyses that distill complex medical data into concise, stakeholder-ready insights.
Guide development of KPIs to track performance and ensure alignment with medical and business objectives.
Oversee data quality and access, collaborating with IT, data engineering, and external partners to ensure governance and platform integration.
Drive standardization and scalability through the development of reusable code components, templates, and analytical frameworks.
Participate in Agile workflows, contributing to sprint planning and iterative delivery of prioritized analytics solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare or a related field and 2+ years of Medical Data Analytics, Commercial Data Analytics, Primary Market Research, Performance Reporting or related experience
OR
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare or a related field and 5+ years of Medical Data Analytics, Commercial Data Analytics, Market Research, Performance Reporting or related experience
