Role Overview
The Remote IT Technician provides technical support and maintenance for computer systems, software applications, and network-related technologies from a remote work environment.
The role diagnoses technical issues, resolves user requests, and supports reliable information technology operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote support for hardware, software, operating systems, and business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using remote access tools and support platforms.
- Install, configure, and maintain software, updates, and user applications.
- Respond to service requests, prioritize incidents, and manage tickets through completion.
- Assist with account access, system configuration, and technology-related inquiries.
- Monitor performance, investigate recurring issues, and escalate complex incidents when appropriate.
- Maintain documentation of support activities, resolutions, and technical procedures.
- Follow security policies for system access, updates, and data protection.
- Recommend enhancements to support processes and technical documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
