Role Overview
Lead product and system reliability engineering from concept and design through qualification, production, field deployment, and sustaining engineering.
Ensure products achieve performance, durability, availability, maintainability, safety, and service-life objectives under defined operating conditions.
Work across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, product, supplier, service, and customer-support functions.
Reliability Leadership
- Lead the Reliability Engineering team and define reliability strategy, objectives, standards, plans, and reliability-growth programs.
- Translate customer and system requirements into measurable reliability targets, including MTBF, MTTR, failure rate, warranty performance, and environmental limits.
- Develop qualification, reliability-growth, reliability-test, accelerated-life, environmental, and field-monitoring plans.
- Develop reliability predictions and models for component, subsystem, and system behavior.
- Lead FTA, design FMEA, process FMEA, system FMEA, and FMECA activities and drive mitigation of high-risk failure modes.
- Apply physics-of-failure principles and assess reliability under demanding environmental conditions.
- Analyze field and warranty data, failure mechanisms, root causes, FRACAS, corrective actions, and reliability-growth performance.
