Position Summary
The Staff Asset and Reliability Engineer is a high-level technical position supporting operation and maintenance of industrial facilities.
The role improves asset performance, reliability, and lifecycle management while reducing downtime and maximizing return on investment.
Asset Management
- Lead asset lifecycle planning covering acquisition, operation, maintenance, and disposal strategies.
- Develop and maintain the asset register and criticality rankings.
- Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, optimize performance, and extend asset life.
- Collaborate with finance and operations on capital and replacement plans.
Reliability Engineering
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
- Develop and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using RCM principles.
- Implement reliability improvement projects for critical assets and systems.
- Monitor MTBF, MTTR, asset availability, and other reliability metrics.
