The Release Manager leads the organization’s release-management process across multiple teams, environments, applications, platforms, and vendors.

The role coordinates technology changes from development through testing and production with controlled delivery and minimal business disruption.

Own release-management policies, procedures, standards, governance, objectives, operating models, release types, and readiness criteria.
Manage the enterprise release calendar, schedules, dependencies, sequencing, release windows, and cross-team coordination.
Develop release plans covering scope, milestones, resources, testing, deployment, rollback, and communications.
Manage release risks, approvals, change records, ITSM alignment, and Change Advisory Board coordination.

Coordinate development, testing, staging, pre-production, and production environments and identify environment-related risks.
Coordinate functional, integration, regression, performance, security, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing.
Conduct readiness reviews and go/no-go meetings while verifying testing, approvals, documentation, monitoring, support, and business readiness.
