Role Summary
The role is a Relationship Management - Coverage Assistant Vice President position supporting the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa department.
The role supports senior bankers and leads selected client accounts across marketing, origination, transaction execution, and business development.
The position sits within the SMBC BI ADGM branch Coverage Team and reports to the Head of the Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead marketing activities and originate new business.
- Prepare pitchbooks, term sheets, information memoranda, and transaction summary overviews.
- Prepare relationship updates and account plans and support credit applications for live transactions.
- Support multiple new transactions each year, including selected lead roles.
- Provide cross-selling support across relevant corporate and investment banking product sets.
- Coordinate with internal departments, regional offices, customers, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, accountants, and advisors.
Role Requirements
- Good knowledge of corporate finance theory, practice, documentation, and execution is required.
- Good understanding of LMA processes for bilateral, club, and syndicated transactions is required.
