The Specialist, Rehearsal & Wardrobe Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution, operational readiness, and continuous improvement of Princess Cruises' shoreside rehearsal operations through leadership of wardrobe inventory management, performer footwear management, entertainment warehouse operations, and cast housing and transportation logistics. This role serves as a key operational leader, ensuring operational excellence, resource optimization, and an exceptional cast experience throughout all stages of the rehearsal and onboarding process.

Working closely with Wardrobe Operations, Studio Operations, Casting, and external partners, this position provides oversight of inventory planning, housing operations, cast transportation, logistical execution, vendor performance, and operational processes that support successful rehearsal periods and cast transitions. The role requires strong operational leadership, stakeholder management, planning capabilities, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Warehouse, Inventory & Footwear Operations

Lead the daily operation, organization, and readiness of the shoreside entertainment warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.

Maintain strategic oversight of inventory levels for performer footwear, wardrobe consumables, rehearsal materials, and operational supplies to support uninterrupted operations.

Direct and oversee professional shoe fitting services for production cast members, ensuring footwear selections align with production, choreography, safety, and performance requirements.

Manage the lifecycle of rehearsal and performance footwear, including procurement planning, distribution, tracking, maintenance, and replacement.

Partner with Studio Operations leadership to ensure all wardrobe and footwear assets are prepared, allocated, and available before cast arrivals.

Establish inventory controls, conduct audits, monitor inventory performance, and implement corrective actions when required.

Drive warehouse process improvements that optimize storage utilization, inventory security, workflows, and safe asset management.

Shipping, Receiving & Procurement

Oversee all shipping, receiving, and logistics activities supporting performer footwear, wardrobe consumables, rehearsal materials, and operational supplies.

Manage inbound and outbound shipments among rehearsal facilities, vessels, vendors, and storage locations.

Lead procurement activities for assigned inventory categories, ensuring availability while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Monitor purchasing trends, inventory utilization, and forecasting data to support operational planning and budget objectives.

Manage vendor relationships to ensure service levels, delivery performance, and issue resolution meet operational requirements.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and inventory optimization.

Cast Housing & Transportation Operations

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of cast housing operations supporting shoreside rehearsal programs.

Partner with Casting and Studio Operations leadership to align housing assignments with operational objectives, occupancy requirements, and rehearsal schedules.

Oversee housing capacity planning and accommodation utilization to ensure efficient resource allocation and a positive cast experience.

Serve as the primary operational liaison with housing providers, property management companies, and contracted service partners.

Direct cast arrival, occupancy, and departure processes to ensure seamless transitions throughout rehearsal cycles.

Oversee access management, including KeyNest administration, security compliance, and property access protocols.

Manage contracted housekeeping, linen, laundry, and housing turnover services while monitoring service quality.

Plan and execute all cast transportation needs throughout rehearsals, while remaining cost effective and proactive in sourcing new efficient methods.

Operational Support & Cross-Functional Coordination

Provide operational leadership and coordination to Wardrobe Operations and Studio Operations throughout rehearsals, cast transitions, and show installations.

Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve rehearsal logistics, warehouse operations, housing programs, and cast support services.

Maintain oversight of operational records, inventory reporting, housing documentation, warehouse files, and shipboard inventory tracking.

Evaluate workflows and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, compliance, and service delivery.

Serve as a subject matter resource for operational planning and execution within the rehearsal and wardrobe functions.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and service providers supporting warehouse operations, housing facilities, and operational logistics.

Collaborate with stakeholders across Casting, Studio Operations, Wardrobe Operations, Procurement, and Entertainment leadership to ensure readiness and alignment.

Monitor vendor performance against established expectations and service standards, implementing corrective actions when required.

Drive improvements that enhance operational effectiveness, vendor performance, financial stewardship, and the overall cast experience.

Represent the department in operational planning discussions and cross-functional meetings.

Knowledge & Skills

Scope: This role serves as a primary operational leader supporting the successful execution of Princess Cruises' shoreside rehearsal and wardrobe operations.

The position is accountable for maintaining operational readiness across warehouse management, inventory controls, performer footwear programs, housing logistics, transportation planning, and related vendor partnerships.

Through effective planning, resource management, and operational oversight, the role directly contributes to successful cast deployment, budget stewardship, and a consistent, professional performer experience.

Problem solving: This role regularly evaluates competing operational priorities and makes independent decisions affecting rehearsal readiness, inventory availability, housing capacity, transportation logistics, vendor performance, and cast support services.

Success requires sound judgment, proactive planning, process improvement capabilities, and the ability to anticipate needs before issues affect operations.

The role identifies risks, recommends practical solutions, and drives improvements across multiple functional areas.

Impact: The role has significant influence on the effectiveness and continuity of shoreside entertainment operations.

Decisions directly affect rehearsal readiness, cast onboarding, operational efficiency, resource utilization, inventory investment, vendor performance, and business outcomes.

The position also represents Princess Cruises within the performer community and external service provider network, contributing to the company's reputation as an employer and entertainment industry partner.

Leadership: While the role has no direct reports, it provides operational leadership across multiple workstreams and regularly directs the efforts of vendors, service providers, cast members, and cross-functional stakeholders.

The position establishes priorities, drives accountability, provides guidance on operational best practices, and influences outcomes through collaboration.

It represents Princess Cruises with professionalism and credibility across diverse internal and external audiences.

Essential And Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Entertainment Management, Arts Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in entertainment operations, warehouse management, hospitality operations, logistics, production operations, or related fields.

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional operations, vendor relationships, projects, or operational workstreams.

Experience

supporting theatrical productions, cruise entertainment, live events, or hospitality environments strongly preferred.

Experience

overseeing housing, logistics, inventory, procurement, or operational support functions is highly desirable.

Essential experience required:

Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, procurement, shipping, receiving, and logistics principles.

Demonstrated operational leadership, planning, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple workstreams, resolve complex operational issues, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

Strong vendor management, negotiation, and performance-monitoring skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities with cast members, leaders, vendors, and external partners.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management, purchasing, or reporting systems.

Ability to interpret operational data, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.

Demonstrated commitment to service excellence, fiscal responsibility, safety, and the performer experience.

Travel: No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “hybrid.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Princess location Mondays through Thursdays.
