Role Overview
The position supports the development, analysis, and execution of regulatory strategies that support Alabama Power Company’s Regulatory Affairs performing strategic research, regulatory analytics, performance metrics. The position will apply data analysis techniques, visualization tools, generative AI, and analytical technologies to identify trends, automate research activities, improve workflow efficiency, and develop insights that support regulatory strategy. The position works closely with regulatory affairs, finance, operations, planning, marketing and customer service, economic development, power delivery and other business organizations to transform complex information into accurate, actionable, and defensible business insights.

POSITION SUMMARY
The position supports the development, analysis, and execution of regulatory strategies that support Alabama Power Company’s Regulatory Affairs performing strategic research, regulatory analytics, performance metrics. The position will apply data analysis techniques, visualization tools, generative AI, and analytical technologies to identify trends, automate research activities, improve workflow efficiency, and develop insights that support regulatory strategy. The position works closely with regulatory affairs, finance, operations, planning, marketing and customer service, economic development, power delivery and other business organizations to transform complex information into accurate, actionable, and defensible business insights.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, engineering preferred
- MBA desirable
- Experience, Knowledge, & Skills:
- Data analytics modeling and interpretation experience is required
- Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, benchmarking, peer utility research, trend analysis, and performance metric evaluation is required
- Experience working in (or in support of) utility regulatory frameworks, operations, financials, planning, and/or policy strongly preferred
