Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for consumer finance? If so, we want to hear from you! Haven is looking for a highly experienced Regulatory Counsel to join our Legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will act as the lead advisor on all regulatory matters, ensuring the business conducts itself in accordance with its statutory, regulatory and conduct obligations, including those required by the FCA and the Gambling Commission.

Be a trusted adviser to the Haven board, providing regular reporting and constructive challenge

Assist in the management and investigation of incidents relating to legal, regulatory and compliance matters, including whistleblowing, consumer credit, consumer rights and data protection
Support commercial projects with clear, pragmatic legal and regulatory advice
Stay up to date with corporate law and statutory obligations to ensure corporate compliance is maintained
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
End-to-end consumer finance expertise, gained either in-house or in private practice
Previous experience within financial services, lending, consumer credit or motor finance
Good knowledge of consumer credit laws and regulations and consumer duty
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Risk identification and assessment capability, with sound judgement
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong prioritisation and workflow management, with the ability to execute at pace
Proven track record of understanding business processes and supporting change
Confident managing and influencing senior stakeholders
Understanding of the leisure or hospitality sector (desirable, not essential)
