Responsibilities
- Advise and support clients on regulatory licensing and authorisation applications in the DIFC
- Draft, review and update compliance and governance documentation
- Provide practical regulatory consulting advice to clients regulated by the DFSA
- Act as Compliance Officer for clients where approved
- Assist with compliance monitoring reviews and draft findings reports
- Manage day to day operations of the DIFC office and liaise with authorities
- Support business development and represent the firm at events
- Collect and review due diligence documentation
- Liaise with clients, authorities, service providers and internal teams
- Work with group entities on cross border regulatory projects
- Keep up to date with relevant laws and regulatory developments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
- Proficient in drafting and filing statutory documents with the DIFC and DFSA
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Flexible, proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Overview
- You will join Zerafa Middle East as a Regulatory Consultant, supporting the growth of our Dubai office and advising clients on financial services regulatory matters, licensing applications and ongoing compliance obligations, particularly within the DIFC and DFSA regulatory framework.
- This is a client facing role combining regulatory advisory, application drafting, compliance support, business development and office coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and support clients on regulatory licensing and authorisation applications in the DIFC, including preparation of application forms, regulatory business plans, policies, procedure manuals and supporting documentation.
- Draft, review and update compliance and governance documentation, including compliance manuals, AML/CFT policies, risk assessments, monitoring plans, board reports and other client deliverables.
- Provide practical regulatory consulting advice to clients regulated by, or seeking authorisation from, the DFSA, including advice on systems and controls, governance arrangements and ongoing regulatory obligations.
- Act, where approved and appropriately appointed, as Compliance Officer for clients providing services regulated by the DFSA, and support clients with ongoing compliance obligations.
- Assist with compliance monitoring reviews, including on site or remote reviews, drafting findings reports and preparing practical remediation recommendations.
- Manage and coordinate the day to day operations of the DIFC office, including liaison with the DIFC, DFSA and other relevant authorities in Dubai and overseas.
- Support the growth of Zerafa Middle East by assisting with business development, building relationships with clients, introducers and other stakeholders, and contributing to the expansion of the Dubai client base.
- Represent Zerafa Middle East at conferences, networking events and industry forums, and contribute to follow up actions and client development opportunities.
- Collect, compile and review due diligence documentation in respect of client companies, ultimate beneficial owners, directors, officers, applicants and other relevant individuals.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, service providers and internal teams, attend meetings and follow up on agreed action points.
- Work closely with Zerafa Advocates, Zerafa Trustees, Zerafa.io and other group entities on cross border regulatory projects, client deliverables and related advisory matters.
- Keep up to date with relevant laws, rules, guidance and regulatory developments applicable to the DIFC, DFSA regulated firms, AML/CFT compliance and related financial services matters.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (MQF Level 6 and/or 7) is advantageous.
- Proficient in drafting and filing statutory documents with the DIFC and DFSA.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an asset.
- Flexible, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications and general knowledge of computer systems.
