Position Purpose
The role is based in KSA, which serves as the primary warehouse and manufacturing operation while supporting warehouse operations in other countries.
The manager is responsible for managing, controlling, and improving warehouse operations across KSA and international locations.
The role oversees the flow of raw materials, fragrance materials, packaging, work-in-progress, finished goods, returns, and other inventory.
Warehouses must operate safely, efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company procedures and applicable local regulations.
Warehouse Operations
- Establish standardized warehouse operating procedures across KSA and international locations.
- Manage receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, transfers, returns, and related warehouse activities.
- Optimize warehouse space, layouts, equipment, manpower, storage segregation, and material flow.
- Ensure warehouse operations support production requirements and future capacity needs.
- Coordinate with QA/QC on quarantine, release, rejection, disposal, and material status.
Inventory Control
- Maintain full traceability of raw materials from receipt through production issuance.
- Control batch and lot numbers and expiry or retest dates where applicable.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO principles and segregate damaged, expired, rejected, or non-conforming materials.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, manage cycle counts, and reconcile physical inventory with financial records.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions for recurring inventory discrepancies.
Safety and People Leadership
- Ensure warehouses comply with company HSE policies and required operational standards.
- Establish safe procedures for receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching materials.
- Ensure appropriate handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials where applicable.
- Train employees in safe material handling and emergency procedures and conduct warehouse safety inspections.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop warehouse personnel while building accountability, accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.
Performance and Improvement
- Track inventory accuracy, receiving accuracy, picking accuracy, fulfillment, utilization, discrepancies, labor productivity, cost, safety incidents, and cycle-count accuracy.
- Work with IT and Supply Chain teams to improve warehouse systems, reporting, dashboards, and operational visibility.
- Identify bottlenecks, reduce unnecessary handling, damage, losses, obsolete inventory, and operating costs.
- Introduce barcode, RFID, WMS, automation, equipment, racking, and manpower improvements where appropriate.
- Lead warehouse improvement projects and benchmark performance against international best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of warehouse operations experience and at least 5 years in warehouse management or a senior warehouse operations role.
- Experience in manufacturing warehouses, multi-warehouse or regional operations, regulated industries, Saudi Arabia, and international operations is preferred to varying degrees.
- Professional certifications such as APICS/ASCM, CIPS, CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Technical competencies include inventory control, ERP/WMS, traceability, FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, layout optimization, KPIs, inbound logistics, customs, HSE, and cost control.
- Strong leadership, organization, analysis, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, coordination, and continuous-improvement abilities are required.
- Strong written and spoken English and Arabic are mandatory.
