Regional Operations Manager

Regional facilities consistently meet or exceed agreed production, service, quality, cost, and reliability targets.

Health, safety, environmental, and regulatory expectations are actively managed, with risks identified early and corrective actions completed in a timely manner.

Budgets, spending, staffing, inventory, and resource plans are managed with discipline and aligned to business priorities.

Facility managers demonstrate stronger ownership, clear performance expectations, improved capability, and consistent follow-through.

Continuous improvement initiatives produce measurable gains in productivity, efficiency, standardization, waste reduction, or customer reliability.

Operational risks, performance trends, and improvement opportunities are communicated clearly to senior leadership with practical recommendations and action plans.

University degree in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, business, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, production, facility operations, or a related industrial environment.

Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, lead operational improvement initiatives, and use performance data to drive business results.

Strong working knowledge of health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with frontline teams, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project; experience using operational reporting tools is an asset.

Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.

The successful candidate will work in both office and facility environments across Western Canada, with the head office located in Calgary, Alberta and frequent travel to plants within the assigned region. The role requires regular computer use, availability to respond to facility-related issues or emergencies, and the flexibility to support operational needs outside standard business hours. Travel is expected to be approximately 40%.
