Role Overview
Oversee accounting and reporting activities across the Middle East region from the UAE.
Coordinate with the Group Finance team and international entities.
Focus on regional accounting operations, consolidation, month-end closing, intercompany reconciliation, tax compliance, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting activities and monthly reporting across UAE and Middle East entities.
- Coordinate month-end closing, reconciliations, and statutory reporting with local finance teams.
- Prepare or review group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and FX translation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE and regional accounting and tax requirements, including VAT.
- Standardize accounting policies, procedures, closing processes, and internal controls across the region.
- Coordinate payment planning, cash flow requirements, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to senior leadership.
- Work closely with Global Finance and local finance teams across different jurisdictions.
- Support ERP or accounting system implementation, automation, and finance process improvements.
- Support external audits and other regional finance projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a regional, multinational, or group environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, consolidation, intercompany accounting, and month-end closing.
- Experience managing or coordinating accounting activities across multiple entities or countries.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT and regional tax and statutory requirements.
- Strong ERP or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Current UAE residence with experience covering Middle East or GCC entities is preferred.
- Experience in regional, group accounting, or shared services is preferred.
- Experience with UAE or GCC tax and statutory reporting is preferred.
- Experience in iGaming, gaming, technology, FinTech, or SaaS is a plus.
- Comfort working with international teams across multiple time zones.
- Willingness to travel within the Middle East and internationally when required.
